Title: ChatGPT: A Digital Bridge to Education - Enhancing Inclusion at All Levels

Abstract: In the artificial intelligence era, tools like ChatGPT offer opportunities to enhance learning from primary to tertiary education. This presentation examines how ChatGPT tailors content to each student's needs, helping to improve understanding and engagement, particularly for students with disabilities. The tool also enhances communication in cases of speech or writing difficulties by acting as a digital assistant. The integration of AI into the educational process offers a unique opportunity for adaptation and inclusion, making learning more accessible and flexible for students at all levels. With the proper use of ChatGPT, education can be made more effective, adapting to the needs of each grade level and bringing out the potential of each student. AI has the potential to bring out the skills of each student, creating a more inclusive learning environment.

BIO: Dr. Vassilis Kourbetis has been a dedicated educator since 1979. He holds a Master of Education in Deaf Education (1982) and a Doctor of Education in Applied Psycholinguistics and Deafness (1987), both from Boston University. From February 2012 to the present, he has served as a Senior Consultant at the Greek Ministry of Education, and until September 2018, he was the Coordinator of the Special Education Unit at the Institute of Educational Policy. Previously, from 2000 to 2012, he worked as a Special Education Consultant at the Pedagogical Institute. Since 2017, he has been an adjunct professor at the Hellenic Open University, teaching in the graduate program "Special Education." He has an extensive body of work, including numerous publications in both Greek and international journals and books, four monographs, and numerous presentations at conferences worldwide. As the Scientific Manager of various research projects, he has developed educational tools for the communication and education of Deaf and hearing individuals through the use of Greek Sign Language. Notable projects include the platforms Prosvasimo, Sign1st, and the Sign Links educational platform. His primary research interests focus on the education and community of Deaf individuals, as well as the structure, teaching, and use of Greek Sign Language. Recently, he has expanded his research to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education across all levels.
